2014 will be a challenging year as Canada’s New Anti-Spam Law (which comes into effect July 1st, 2014) promises to implement a broad range of requirements intended to reduce spam, identity theft , phishing and spyware. As businesses and consumers will be allowed to take civil action against violators and enforcing agencies will seek administrative monetary penalties, it will become imperative for business to keep up with the ever-evolving tech market. Tech companies also need to understand the new law’s anti-malware rules.
